Liverpool arrived late to Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby clash with Everton due to traffic.

The Reds were pictured arriving at the home of the Toffees around 11:25, just over an hour before kick-off.

According to journalist Julien Laurens, Jurgen Klopp and his men were held up by congestion in the local area.

It was the worst possible start for the champions, who travel to their table-topping rivals on the back of a 7-2 defeat at Aston Villa.

Everton, on the other hand, have enjoyed a perfect start to the campaign with four wins from four.

Today marks ten years to the day since Everton last beat Liverpool in the Premier League – and fans will hope it also signals an end to the Reds’ dominance in the city.
