FOOD prices went up between May and June despite a 1.9% drop in the consumer price index (CPI), the Statistics Department said today.

The CPI dipped to 119.1 in June, compared to 121.4 in the same month last year, due to declines across several categories except food and non-alcoholic beverages and health.
