Fortnite sharks can be mean enemies in Season 4, but this counter using just a Mythic Item will send them packing.

Fortnite shark

Epic Games have added new Mythic Items to Fortnite Battle Royale in Season 4, and one of them is a perfect counter for sharks in-game.

As you will know by now, sharks can be dangerous foes in the Fortnite world. If you are anywhere near water, even sometimes on land, they can come diving at you with those big old teeth showing.

Catch yourself in their jaw and it could be game over, so knowing what to do when you encounter one is very important for survival. After all, who wants to spend the whole game working their way into the circle only to get eaten in the endgame? Not many players, surely.

On September 6, Reddit user u/cobragrad17 showed off what appears to be the best way of killing them yet, and it’s super easy to do.

Using just one item, which is the Mystical Bomb found at Doom’s Domain, you can knock them right back into the water and send them on their way.

The Mythic Item itself is one of a kind, meaning it’s not always easy to get. There’s usually quite a bit of competition to get it as well.

To grab one, you need to eliminate Doctor Doom at Doom’s Domain, and he’s protected by a few henchmen. If you’re going for it, be sure to keep an eye out for his reinforcements. Getting outnumbered would be a nightmare, especially when you consider that Doc has higher a HP bar than a typical enemy.

Grab one and you’re golden for the rest of the game, though. Once you’ve got one, simply hit a shark with the ball and it will send them flying away as the video shows.

No more pesky sharks, and hopefully plenty more wins where they don’t cost you.

Fortnite redeploy glitch photo

Epic Games might have to act fast to patch a new glitch as some Fortnite Battle Royale players have found a way to get unlimited glider redeploys in-game.

Just like any other, Fortnite Season 4 has seen a few glitches and exploits surface since it kicked off. One of the more recent included the ability to access God mode, making player invincible in the battle royale title.

All that one needed was for players to jump into a haystack at the right time, at the right place. This one is just as easy as well, granting members of the community an easy escape mechanism for gunfights.

How Fortnite’s unlimited redeploy glitch works

Now, this new glitch is just as easy to do, and grants unlimited redeploys with your glider, meaning you can jump from pretty much anywhere and glide away from enemies without a hitch.

It was uncovered in a YouTube video, seen below, from content creator Jugger. All you have to do here is to jump on one of the huge robotic hands in-game along with a partner, which will grant you unlimited gliders.

You can also cancel the glitch by jumping back onto the hand, launching up in the air. Pretty useful tool to have in tight spots, it must be said, but will likely be patched up soon enough.

As of September 7, Epic Games are yet to note the problem on their Trello board of community issues. There is another issue mentioned, though, which was supposed to be fixed in patch v13.40 – slow redeploy in certain situations.

Soon enough, devs will likely cancel this glitch and make redeploying smoother for all players, so watch this space.

Collector Museum in Fortnite

The latest map change in Fortnite Season 4 is here, as the Rift Beacon has opened up to reveal the Marvel Collector Museum on the battle royale island.

The Marvel theme is fully taking over in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4, and we’re really only just getting started.

As well as skins and other cosmetics, the most notable changes are physical additions to the map. This started with the Season 4 update itself, followed by the Black Panther statue and more in the next update.

Now, on September 6, another addition has gone live, this time Marvel’s Collector Museum has spawned in.

It comes from the planet “Knowhere” and appears near Catty’s Corner on the Fortnite map.

As well as the new POI, another Rift beacon has moved into a new stage, which presumably will bring in the next addition to the map.

What exactly this will be, we don’t know yet, but expect even more substantial changes on the way.

All of this ties into the lore too, as the various superheros are believed to be taking control of certain parts of the map, in preparation for the fight with Galactus.

Shadow isn’t completely gone from the Fortnite island.

Fortnite Season 4 saw some of the fan-favorite characters leave the Battle Royale island. No, we’re not talking about Kit or Jules. We’re talking about the Henchmen that we’ve been impersonating for the better part of a year.

Now, all that’s left is Doom’s Henchmen, which only appear as a skinny version of Doom, himself. There’s little chance that these Henchmen will be what we remember from the NPC days of Fortnite.

One post of the r/FortniteBR subreddit revealed that Shadow Henchmen aren’t entirely gone, however. u/TheDarkFabledSaber posted a clip of Doom emoting to his followers. The strange part was that the user was wearing a Shadow disguise.

Apparently, certain skins disagree with Doom’s teachings and opt to turn into Shadow skins, instead. This is more than likely a bug that’s triggered by a handful of skins, but we like to think it has something to do with the Fortnite plot.

The same user posted a tutorial on how to turn yourself into a Shadow Henchmen. All you need to do is visit the phone booth in Doom’s Domain while wearing a specific skin. This user chose Peely and Agent Peely, but these aren’t the only skins that allow for the unique transition.

According to the comments, the following skins also cause you to transform into a Shadow Henchmen rather than a Doom Henchmen:

  • Drift
  • Peely (all variants)
  • Catalyst
  • Devourer
  • Sanctum
  • Hybrid

There are probably more skins that cause this reaction, but these are the only ones that we know about. We’ve also seen players claim that this happens with any skin, randomly, but we went in with a Thor skin and didn’t get this reaction. Either way, here’s a nice little piece of nostalgia that may impress your friends. Enjoy!
