It look like Overtime challenges have returned to Fortnite in Season 4 with a new name. This time, Epic are calling the list of late-season challenges “XP Xtravaganza.” The description of these challenges says it all: it’s a final push for players who want to unlock foil skin variants for their Season 4 outfits.
There’s a short list of challenges, this week, with only five available for completion. Each net you 20,000 XP as a reward, save for the last one which will grant 50,000. Here’s a list of the Season 4 Week 11 challenges:
- Deal damage with scoped weapons (500)
- Use superpowers to eliminate opponents (1)
- Use rifts (3)
- Upgrade weapons to Uncommon rarity (4)
- Visit all named locations in a single match (17)
Most of theses challenges are self-explanatory, with the most difficult one of the bunch being “Visit all named locations in a single match.” You’ll almost certainly need to complete this one in Team Rumble.

The rest of the challenges can be completed in Team Rumble or in regular matches. You need to go into a real game to upgrade weapons to Uncommon, at least, as weapons start off as Rare in Team Rumble.
We’ll likely have another short list of XP-focused challenges next week, so stay tuned for that. Otherwise, good luck getting as far as you can into your foil skins before the season ends!.
The secret “Grave Mistake” challenge could be the last secret quest of Fortnite Season 4.

November 3, 2020
The secret Season 4 questline continues on, this week, with the “Grave Mistake” mission. Those who have been keeping up with these quests know that there’s a mischievous gnome running around the map causing problems for our heroes.
Last week, we were tasked with sanitizing the giant Slurp vats in Slurpy Swamp. After that, we had to confront the troublesome gnome as he escaped the building. Each of these challenges netted us 10,000 XP.
Although the name of the last challenge was “Escape,” it would seem as though the villainous Gnome landed harder than he expected. Now, in the landing spot from last week, you’ll find a grave that houses his remains.

The challenge for this week is simple: visit the grave and pay respects. In typical Fortnite fashion, the developers embraced the meme by allowing players to press F to pay respects.
Anyone who knows anything about comic books knows that this probably isn’t the last we’ll see of this gnome. He may even play a small role in the plotline when Galactus shows up. After all, the last challenge was called “Escape” not “Die.”
We’ll keep you posted if there’s another secret challenge, as we predict. If not, then this is your last chance to earn a free 20,000 XP before the season ends.
Find out how to search chests in Upstate New York and catch fish at Heart Lake for the Fortnite Season 4 Week 10 challenges.

The Fortnite Season 4 Week 10 challenges have gone live, giving players more XP on their quest toward the fil skin requirements. Most of the challenges are relatively easy to complete without too much direction, but there are two challenges that may raise some questions.
On challenge requires you to catch fish at Heart Lake. Chances are, you’ve never heard of this location before. This is because it was only added about a month ago when Iron Man and Stark Industries came to the game.
You can find Heart Lake in the center of the chunk of land that houses Stark Industries. This is also the lake outside Tony Stark’s Lake House from last week’s challenges.
Another challenge requires you to search chests in Upstate New York. As it turns out, you can complete both of these challenges at the same time. Upstate New York is what the aforementioned chunk of real estate is called.

There are a ton of chest spawns on this island – outside of those in Stark Industries. You can search the Lake House, the nearby cabin at Heart Lake, and some other chest scattered around the POI.
As is usually the case with these challenges, the best way to complete both of these challenges is to hop into a game of Team Rumble. You can probably complete both of these at the same time, if no one contests you.

Here are all of the Witch Shack locations for the Fortnitemares 2020 challenges.

October 27, 2020
We’re a week into the Fortnitemares 2020 event and the challenges are still rolling along. We have another week to finish these challenges before the event is over, but that’s plenty of time to unlock all of the new cosmetics.
Today, October 27, the final challenges of the event unlocked for players to complete. One of these challenges requires you to visit three different Witch Shacks, scattered around the map. These also provide players with the Witch Brooms you’ll need for an earlier challenge.
The reward for completing this particular challenge is a pickaxe, so it’s worth your time – especially if you know where to go.
By our count, there are seven Witch Shacks on the Fortnite map – each in a different region. You’ll find one North of Doom’s Domain, Southeast of Steamy Stacks, on the western coast of Sweaty Sands, just north of Salty Springs, off the coast of Catty Corner, and South of Slurpy Swamp.

If you want to do this challenge as quickly as possible, we suggest jumping into a game of Team Rumble and visiting the three shacks on the western portion of the map. This shouldn’t be too difficult with Glider Re-Deploy.
Here’s a map of all of the Witch Shack locations for your reference.
The rest of the Fortnitemares challenges should be straightforward, but most of them won’t be possible in Team Rumble. You’re going to need to fight for Midas at The Ruins to Eliminate him – a tall task while fighting players, Shadows, and henchmen. Good Luck!
