Former President Rawlings Reveals Why His Surname Was Changed To Rawlings – See His Real Surname

In a recent submission, former President Jerry John Rawlings has disclosed that his surname as many people know to be Rawlings is not Rawlings.

Speaking about his real surname, he indicated that his surname is John.

Revealing how it was changed, he said it was changed when he got enlisted in the military some years ago.

He said in an interview with Asaase Radio that;

“I was born Jerry Rawlings John. I was named after my father, James Ramsey John, a chemist from Castle Douglas in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.

However, when I applied to join the Armed Forces they replied to me, then they switched the position of ‘John’ and ‘Rawlings.”
