Harriet Finch’s (Katherine Dow Blyton) steamy secret affair with DI Malone (Mark Womack) causes problems for Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) in Emmerdale, as she misses an important engagement to spend time with the dodgy cop.
Will suggests that both he and Harriet meet with the bishop in an effort to fix a date for their wedding. Harriet’s caught off-guard by such a suggestion, which leaves her beau puzzled.
Matters become somewhat more complicated when Harriet meets with Malone in the church, and — in spite of her telling him to stay away — he makes clear that he’s not going anywhere.
She is thrilled by the dodgy detective’s evident danger, and thus succumbs to his charms once again.
Meanwhile, Will and Dawn (Olivia Bromley) await her arrival in The Woolpack — with the bishop in tow.
Given that she’s somewhat pre-occupied with Malone, she doesn’t make it on time, and therefore Will is left having to make excuses for her.
Will is no doubt upset over Harriet having missed the chance to organise their wedding, but will he confront her on the matter?
Perhaps not, as the former criminal will have other things on mind when Dawn reveals the Malone is back in the village.
The question is: will he discover why his adversary has returned?
