Carole Baskin Revealed Her First Number for Dancing With the Stars, and It’s Wild

Carole Baskin is prepping her debut performance for the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, all you cool cats and kittens.

Yes, in case you missed it, the Tiger King star whom we all obsessed over in the early days of the pandemic isn’t quite ready to retire from the reality scene just yet. She actually just revealed her first number for DWTS, and it’s so on the nose.

“I was just approved yesterday to release that we are doing ‘Eye of the Tiger,’ so I’m very excited about that,” she said during a press conference, per E! News. How incredible. Really, could she have danced to anything other than the Survivor hit from the ’80s? Nope. This is exactly the song she needs to be doing.

Baskin also discussed some of the details around what she’ll be wearing. “I’m actually sitting in my car outside of costuming right now. And I gave them the instructions that no fur, no feathers, no leather, and anything else,” she said. “I can’t wait to see what they come up with.” The Big Cat Rescue founder added that she doesn’t care how “wild” the looks are and that she wants to “have a blast.”

Apparently, it was Baskin’s daughter who convinced her to join DWTS. “‘Mom, you got to do this,’” she said. “And so I contacted them and I thought what they would do to pair me with a star because I have never seen this show and didn’t know how it worked. So once I found out how it actually worked, I was even more mortified, but I wanted to do it for my daughter because she does so much for me.”

The new season, with host Tyra Banks, premieres on September 14 at 8 p.m. E.T. on ABC.
