A number of playoff teams from 2019 took it on the chin in a wild Week 11.

There’s one more game this week as the Buccaneers host the Rams on Monday night. Neither one of those clubs reached the postseason a year ago but 12 other teams did.

It proved to be a rough Sunday for quite a few of those who were in action (the Bills and 49ers were off). And in a playoff rematch from a year ago, the same team that stunned the club with the best record in the NFL in 2019 did it again – this time in overtime.

New York Jets 0-10

Last week: L, 34-28 at LAC
Last rank: 32nd

Veteran Joe Flacco would once again be the Jets’ starting quarterback as the team headed west to take on the Chargers in Los Angeles.

Adam Gase’s team was off a week ago but got off to a good start after a blocked punt paved the way for an early 6-0 lead. But the Bolts scored the next 24 points and the Jets were never able to catch up. Flacco threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns but he also had an interception returned for a score as well.

Jacksonville Jaguars 1-9

Last week: L, 27-3 vs PIT
Last rank: 31st

Doug Marrone’s team dropped its ninth consecutive game despite owning a 3-0 lead after one quarter over the NFL’s lone unbeaten team.

The Jaguars’ offense managed only 206 total yards while rookie quarterback Jake Luton wound up completing less than 50 percent of his passes (16-of-37) and threw four interceptions. Jacksonville’s defense surrendered 373 total yards and while they picked off Ben Roethlisberger once, they failed to sack him.

Cincinnati Bengals 2-7-1

Last week: L, 20-9 at WAS
Last rank: 24th

The Bengals were on the road for a second consecutive week as they headed to Washington. It was a very rough afternoon for rookie quarterback Joe Burrow, who went down in the third quarter (via ESPN) and made it fairly clear that he was done for the rest of the season.

As for the game, Zac Taylor’s team owned a 9-7 halftime lead but was shut out the rest of the way. Ryan Finley replaced Burrow, threw an interception and was sacked four times.

Atlanta Falcons 3-7

Last week: L, 24-9 at NO
Last rank: 25th

Raheem Morris’ club, off a week ago, made its way to the Superdome for the first meeting of the season with the Saints. A year ago, the Falcons came away with a victory at New Orleans. This time around, the club failed to score a touchdown and was limited to 248 total yards – 52 on the ground.

Veteran quarterback Matt Ryan was sacked eight times and picked off twice. And Atlanta’s defense sixth-ranked run defense gave up 168 yards rushing.
